Thankful Turkey Activity Craft

Here’s a fun activity/craft to keep the kids busy this Thanksgiving and learn a little bit about what everyone is thankful for this Thanksgiving.

Supplies:

Kraftykid Thankful Turkey Template.
Scissors
Markers, pens, or crayons

Instructions:

Print the Kraftykid Thankful Turkey Template.
Cut out turkeys.
All players write what you are thankful for.
Place turkey writing side down.
Each player pick up a turkey and read what is written on the card.
Try to guess who wrote the answer.
Repeat with next player.

Doodle Art Craft Activity (Printables)

Draw five doodles on a piece of paper, turn it this way, that way, upside down and rightside up. Finally, you’ll see a picture that you can create. What a fun activity that inspires creativity and promotes imagination and one that I personally LOVED as a child. We’d play it for hours. Kraftykid has created some sample pages to get you started.

Materials:

* Doodle art template
* printer
* pencil

Instructions:

1. Print the Doodle art template.
2. Turn the pictures upside down and around until you see a picture in your mind. Turn the doodle into a piece of art.

TIP: For a group of kids, determine a number of doodles and have each child doodle on a piece of paper – either big or small, curves, circles, jagged lines, ect. Once everyone makes their doodles, each person exchanges their paper with someone else. For an individual, make a doodle for yourself, or have your parents make a doodle for you!

Connect the Dots Activity Game (Printable)

We all played it. We all loved it. Connect the Dots is a great classic paper and pencil game to play during long car rides, rainy days, waiting in the doctor’s office, or anywhere you need to capture your child’s attention for longer than five minutes (LOL).

Supplies:

* Connect the Dots template
* Paper
* Pencil

Directions:

1. Print the Connect the Dots template
2. Connect two adjacent dots by drawing a line connecting them.
3. Alternate turns with your opponent.
4. If you complete a square, put your initial in the box and take another turn.
5. The person with the most squares is the winner.

Alien Hangman Activity Game (Printable)

Here’s a variation on hangman that the kids just love to play. It’s a great activity for indoor play, long car rides, aftercare programs, and school programs. Play this two-player game to help children sharpen their spelling and word-decoding skills.

Supplies:

alien-hangman-game template.
Pencil

Directions:

1. Print the alien-hangman-game template.
2. Have one person choose a word or phrase that the other player knows how to spell.
3. Place one dash on the bottom of a piece of paper for each letter of the word or words chosen. Leave a space between words.
4. Have the other player guess one letter at a time – or he or she can use a turn to guess the entire word or words.
5. Fill in the letter (everywhere it appears) on the appropriate dash (or dashes) each time the person guesses correctly.
6. Add one alien body part to the drawing each time the letter chosen is not in the word. Begin by drawing a head attached to the short vertical line (the “noose”). Add eyes, ears, nose, hair, body, legs, and arms. TIP: Use Kraftykid’s sample pictures or better yet, make up your own funny alien.
7. If the drawing of the alien is completed before the word or words are guessed, the guessing player loses. If the player figures out the word or words first, he or she wins.
