Supplies:

• Kraftykid Mama Kangaroo and Baby Joey template
• Scissors
• Glue
• Brown construction paper, small brown pompom, or brown marker
• Googley eyes

Instructions:

1.   Print the Kraftykid Mama Kangaroo and Baby Joey template and cut out the pieces.

2.   Glue the pouch onto the kangaroo.

3.  Glue baby joey onto the Mama kangaroo’s pouch.

4.   Glue ears.

5.  Add nose and wiggly eyes.

Supplies:

• Kraftykid Gingerbread snowman card template
• Kraftykid gingerbread font template
• Glitter (if desired)

Instructions:

1. Print the Kraftykid Gingerbread snowman card template.
2. Fold the four quarter card into a card, by folding vertically and then horizontally.
3. Print theKraftykid gingerbread font template.
4. Use to write a saying with the gingerbread fonts by cutting and pasting letters.

Note:  This could take a while so you might just want to have them use the letters to sign their names on the back of the card.

Supplies:

• Two greeting cards (same size and color)
• Yarn or sewing trim
• Kraftykid envelope dreidel card template
• Glue
• Scissors

Instructions:

1.   Print the Kraftykid envelope dreidel card template and cut out all pieces.

2.   Open the flaps of the envelopes.

3.   Glue along the sides of the back of the envelopes and along the outer edges of the flaps.

4.   With the backs of the envelopes facing each other, glue the flaps and sides together making a dreidel shape with a pocket inside.

5.  Use the Kraftykid handle from the template and write a message on the empty side.

6.  Slide the hidden message into the dreidel pocket

Note:  If you are using white envelopes instead of colored ones, have the children decorate them using markers, paints, stickers, ect.

7.   Paste the Hebrew letters from the Kraftykid template on the front of the dreidel.  (Nun, Gimel, Hay, or Shin).

8.   Decorate the dreidel and handle with the pieces of trim.

9.   Give to a friend to wish them happy Hanukkah!

Supplies:

• Kraftykid popup Christmas tree card template
• Scissors
• Glue
• Glitter, tiny Pompoms if desired

Instructions:

1. Print the Kraftykid popup Christmas tree card template.
2. Fold the card in half.
3. Use the Kraftykid ruler (from the template) as a guideline (by placing along the crease) and cut along the four cuts .
4. Fold over the flaps that were formed by the cuts.
5. Unfold the folds you just made and open up the card.
6. Push up the flaps made by the cuts. These will be the tree trunks.
7. Close the card so that the flaps are inside the card.
8. Cut the 2 trees from the Kraftykid popup Christmas card template.
9. Glue them to the paper trunks. Decorate as desired using yarn, glitter, pompoms, stickers, ect.
10. Close the card.
11. Glue the other folded piece of construction paper onto the outside of the card. Make sure you don’t glue the place where the trees are.
12. Cut and glue the Christmas pictures from the template onto the front of the card.

This is a fun coloring activity for preschoolers.  They are all used to snowmen but here we have a snowman family, complete with junior. Glue them onto cardstock and they can use them as gift tags for the holidays.

Supplies:

Instructions:

1. Print the Kraftykid snowman family gift tag template.
2. Have children color using fun, bright colors.
3. Glue the picture onto the Kraftykid gift enclosure.

These are fun gifts for your children to make to bring home for the parents or to give as gifts.  My children have made and brought these home different times of the year and I LOVE receiving them.  Have the children make thumbprint designs on some cardstock and then draw pictures around their thumbprint designs.  When you collect a few different styles, fold the drawings into cards, wrap with cellophane paper, and tie with a decorative ribbon.  They will be so proud!

Materials:

• Washable ink pads in different colors.
• Cardstock
• Pens, crayons, markers, ect. to decorate

Instructions:

1. Press the child’s thumb into the desired color of ink.
2. Press firmly onto the cardstock.
3. Use the Thumbprint Idea Samples for inspiration or make up your own.
4. Decorate around the thumbprint using markers.
5. Flowers and chicks are especially easy choices.
6. Fold the pictures into notecards by folding in half horizontally or vertically.
7. Make around five different styles and wrap with clear cellophane and tie with a ribbon.
8. Add artist information along the back.  Have your children write their name and the date.  Include a thumbprint if desired.

Have children give them away as gifts.

 Notecards from Children’s Drawings Make Great Gifts

These are fun gifts for your children to make to bring home for the parents or to give as gifts.  My children have made and brought these home different times of the year and I LOVE receiving them..  Have the children draw pictures inside of the frame throughout the month when you have some free time. At the end of the month have them fold the drawings into cards, wrap with cellophane paper,  and tie with a decorative ribbon.  They will be so proud!

Materials:

• child artist notecard template
• Pens, crayons, markers, ect. to decorate

Instructions:

1. Print out the child artist notecard template.
2. Fold the pictures into notecards by folding in half horizontally and then folding again vertically to form a quarter-folded card with the picture frame along the front.
3. Color pictures with crayons, markers or paints inside of the frame and collect at least 8.
4. Wrap with clear cellophane and tie with a ribbon.
5. Add artist information along the back.  Have your children write their name and the date.  Include a thumbprint if desired.
6. Have children give them away as gifts.

Materials:

• Paper
• Kraftykid’s bunny rabbit pop-up card template
• Cotton ball
• Scissors
• Glue
• Black crayon or marker
• Tape

Directions:

1. Print the Kraftykid bunny rabbit pop-up card template.
2. Cut out all of the pieces on the template, set aside.
3. Fold the rectangular piece accordian style and tape or glue towards the top of the card.
4. Glue the top portion of the bunny onto the end of the accordian piece of paper.
5. Glue the cotton ball towards the bottom portion of the card.
6. Glue the bottom portion of the bunny on top of the cotton ball.
7. Let dry.
8. Fold along the dotted lines and close the card with some tape.
9. When opened, the bunny will spring to action!

Here’s a simple card to make for Easter or to celebrate the arrival of Spring.  It will teach your child how to count all the way to fourteen as they paste their fourteen carrots.  It’s also a good way to explain how the same shape can be used in different ways and sizes to create a picture.  Maybe they can create their own design using just circles or triangles.

Materials:

• 8 x 11 piece of construction paper for the card
• Kraftykid’s Fourteen carrot bunny card template
• 2 googley eyes
• Cotton ball
• Pink chalk
• Scissors
• Glue
• Black crayon or marker

Inside of Card

Directions:

1. Fold the construction paper in half lengthwise for the card.  Cut the open sides using decorated scissors, if desired.
2. Print the Kraftykid Fourteen carrot bunny card template.
3. Cut out all of the pieces on the template, set aside.
4. Paste the hearts together to look like the sample.
5. With your pink chalk, color the tail and the bunny cheeks.
6. Glue the googley eyes to the bunny face.
7. Draw a mouth, whiskers and outline the pink ears.
8. On the inside of the card, paste the verse and glue the fourteen carrots.
9. Sign with your child’s name.

Materials:

• Free, downloadable St Paddy’s Day clover leaf template
• Holepuncher
• Brad or paper fastener
• Fine tip marker for printing

Instructions:

1. Print the free, downloadable St Paddy’s Day clover leaf template
2. Cut the four clover leaves.
3. Punch a small hole ½ inch from the point of each clover leaf.
4. Overlap the leaves and line up the holes.
5. Push a two-pronged brass fastener through the holes and spread the prongs.
6. On each shamrock, write a verse.
