Easy Animal Card Holder Project From Paper Plates

Have papers that you need to organize?  Have your child create their own card holder from paper plates to keep track of their paperwork.  Consider this to be an “open ended” art craft.  The basic shape is the same so have your child choose their favorite animal and design away.

Supplies:

• 2 – Paper plates
• Markers, Glitter, Stickers, Pencil, Scissors, Stapler

Instructions:

1. Cut one of the plates in half.
2. Cut one of the halves in half.
3. Staple the half plate to the uncut plate.
4. Glue the 1/4 pieces of plate to the back of the uncut plate (to act as ears).
5. Paint/decorate.

Note:  Our Animal Paper Plate Craft was originally destined to be a pig, but this artist had other ideas in mind.  No worries – let your child express him/herself.  That is how true works of art are created!
