Draft Dodger/Door Stopper Kitty Craft

 Save your heating bill with this cute kitty draft dodger craft!

Supplies:
 -         1 – pair of women’s tights
-         White/pink/black felt or craft foam
-         Needle and thread
-         Buttons (optional)
-         1 – 5lb bag of rice

Instructions:

1. Cut one of the legs off of the tights and fill it with rice.  You can use a piece of paper to act as a funnel. 
2. Knot the open end shut.
3. Cut the piece after the knot to make the tail fringy (optional).
4. Cut 4 oval shapes from the white felt for the legs and sew to the bottom of the kitty.
5. Cut 2 triangles out of the white felt and sew to the top of the kitty to make his ears.
6. Glue or sew 2 pink triangles to the white triangles.
7. Sew on 2 white buttons for eyes (we used heart buttons).  You can also use wiggly eyes.
8. Cut a rectangle out of black felt or craft foam.
9. Sew a pink triangle to the black rectangle, and then sew the rectangle to the front of the kitty. 
10. Cut the rectangle lengthwise about 4-6 times to make the whiskers.  Repeat on the other side of the nose.
11. Cut a white strip of felt for the collar and tie to the bottom of the kitty.
12. Embellish with a felt pink heart.
13. Place by your door or window to block out the cold.
