Blessing Box - a wonderful way to teach
thankfulness!
Supplies:
1 Checkbook box, shoe box, milk carton, or similar
Crayons, markers, stickers, sequence, or other decorative items
Tape or glue
Scissors
Paper, or newspaper to cover the box
Instructions:
1. Wrap the box with the paper and glue or tape the paper to the box.
If using a checkbook box, be sure to wrap the bottom and top portions separately
so the box can be opened.
2. Put the two portions together to form the box.
3. Cut a hole in the top of the box so the blessings can be deposited
(Parents, you may want to do this for your child to avoid a potential cut).
4. Write your name on the top of the box.
5. Write "Blessing Box" underneath your name.
6. Decorate with crayons, stickers, and other items of your choice.
7. Cut out little squares of paper for the child to write his/her
blessings on.
8. Make time during Thanksgiving, at night, in the morning, or whenever to
have the child read his/her blessings out loud.
